Beginners Fly Tying Course
The course will run for 7 consecutive Monday nights, starting at 7.30 pm and finishing at 9.30 pm.
Participants are advised not to purchase equipment prior to the start as expert advice on ‘what works’ will be given during the course. The flies chosen will demonstrate a range of different tying techniques and materials.
We will have a different demonstrator each week tying up to two flies each night.
Additional members will also attend to give “hands on” help, advice and one to one demonstration to students.
Week 1 will be an introductory night running through equipment, materials, etc.
This year the course will be FREE to fee-paying members and will cost $50 for visitors/non-members wishing to partake in the course.
All materials, hooks, beads, feathers and fur etc., are supplied.
Places are limited to 16 however we also require a minimum of 6 people to sign up.
If you want to attend, place your name on the list on the Notice Board or email secretary@southernflyfishers.org.au. with your contact details and the club will follow up prior to commencement.
This will be an excellent time to learn from some of the clubs expert fly tyers.
